Jamie is the current farmer on Te Kainga and ideas man behind Te Kainga Meat Co. With a B Com Ag from Lincoln University he has taken on the land after returning from his travels to continue the family farming tradition. He has spent 2 years traveling and working based in the UK and has made a footstep on every continent. Those footsteps are now confined to 600 acres but the back pack is still sitting on hand. With experience in meat retail with Affco Meats, Jamie has seen the cycle from Farm to Plate. Jamie aims to connect customers with Te Kainga to give people a degree of belonging to this cycle and trust in its origins. Liking the quiet things he can be found tending his veggie plot on the weekend or sneaking back to nature for a tramp and some billy tea by the fireside when the farm allows.

Pad and Fern

Master huntaway and madame eyedog are the real workers at Te Kainga. In charge of day to day stock movement and general entertainment on the farm they are vital links in the Te Kainga chain. More than willing to sample any of our product on sale and always take to it with fervour.
