Hey folks.
Well I am sorry to say that it has been 2 years since I wrote to you all and let you know how things are at TK headquarters.
Where do I start.
We are happy to be still supplying the best Beef and Lamb to you every weekend at our very popular stalls at La Cigale, the Britomart farmers market and Alexandra Park Farmers market.
Thanks to all our loyal customers who brave the weather as we do to find our lovely fresh cuts.
We are very happy to say that we have a new product line to add to our beef and lamb cuts. "TKMC Happy Pork".
We are not in a big way but the first of our free range piggies left the farm this week destined for the markets next weekend. 30/31 May.
Do watch this space. If you are keen it is best to race to one of our markets to try.
So how did we get free range piggies. Well.....
Scott, Jacques and myself needed a new project on TK. We had an old disused cow shed that we re roofed and re fenced to provide a great snugg shelter for our little swines. Bedded down on straw and fed only the BEST.
Jacques get a fine range of vegetables and pastries from a number of our market friends, add some of our organic milk and some swollen maize to compliment and we have very happy pigs.
It is not every pig that has a pain au chocolat and a croissant washed down with full cream milk and a vege or three for breakfast.
We are now heading into the shorter days and it will not be long before we have our new seasons lambs and calves to continue our farming cycle.
The farm is green and lush. Maybe a little bit too lush! There has been a lot of rain.
Wwoofers have been through the farm very regularly. Thanks to you all for all your help. There are a lot less thistles, crisp white painted farm buildings, happy pigs, and much more thanks to you all.
And in case you didn't know. I got myslef engaged to the lovely Lulu whom some of you may have met at the La Cigale market. Big wedding to come soon! I am a very lucky man.
Take care and keep enjoying TKMC.....
